We collect your email address and the book file you upload for translation. We also collect metadata about your files, including file title, file size, and language information.

2. Age Requirements

You must be at least 16 years old to use this service. By using our service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. How We Use Your Personal Information And Data

We use your email address to send service-related communications, such as translation results, feedback inquiries, and payment confirmations.

The files you upload are used solely for the purpose of creating their translation, which we provide exclusively to you.

4. Data Retention

Files: Files that you upload but do not translate are deleted automatically after 24 hours. Files that you do translate and their translations are deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest.

Email and Metadata: We store your email address and metadata (file title, file size, languages, etc.) for up to 3 years after your last interaction with our service. This allows us to reply to inquiries from you and analyze our system. You can request deletion of this data at any time by contacting us.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We only share your data with trusted service providers necessary to deliver our service. We do not sell your information to third parties.

AI Translation: We use OpenRouter for running the AI models. We split your file into chunks and modify them before sending to OpenRouter, which routes them to AI providers. OpenRouter does not log the content of the chunks or their translations, and we only use providers that do not train on your content.

OCR Processing: We use Datalab for OCR processing of your files. Datalab operates with a zero data retention policy.

Payment Processing: We use Stripe for secure payment processing, which includes processing your email address.

Reviews: Your email may be shared with TrustPilot, a third-party service that allows you to leave reviews about our service, so they can email you a link to leave a review.

Analytics and Monitoring: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that collects anonymous usage data. We also use Datafast for traffic attribution, Sentry and Laravel Nightwatch for error monitoring. No personal information is collected or shared through these analytics tools.

6. Data Security

We implement industry best practices to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure. We take extra care to protect your books throughout the translation process.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights under applicable French or European Union law.

8. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
